You're In Good Hands

Meet Dr. Vela

Dr. Jeremy Vela is not only the owner and head dentist at Epic Dental Center, he is part of a dental legacy. His father, Dr. Rene Vela, and brother, Dr. Benjamin Vela are well-respected dentists in South Texas. So, Dr. Vela has been immersed in the field of dentistry from a young adolescent.

Dr. Vela, values making his own way in his career and has exceptional credentials in his own right. A graduate of St. Mary’s University, Dr. Vela went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2019. Earning his DDS from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in San Antonio was one of his most treasured accomplishments. Having the privilege of learning from two of the most trusted dentists in the coastal bend community for decades—it’s shaped his practice today. His ultimate goal is to provide Houston residents with fair, honest, and transparent dental care.

Dr. Vela also has a passion for complex surgical procedures such as dental implants and full mouth reconstruction.

His practice offers an exceptional dental experience through a multi-disciplinary approach.
With an advanced skill set, he can offer full mouth rehabilitation, oral surgery, root canal therapies, short-term orthodontics, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry with confidence using today’s most up-to-date methods, techniques, and technologies. Furthermore, Dr. Vela and his team offer various levels of sedation as well as IV infusions for added convenience to their patients.

Always one to seek improvement and knowledge of his craft, Dr. Vela is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), and Greater Houston Dental Society (GHDS).

Outside of the office, Dr. Vela cherishes quality time with his wife, Dr. Xinh Tran, a Houston neurologist. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, catching a movie, a game of chess, and tooling around with their loveable labradoodle, Nori.

See What Our Patients Say

Personalized Dental Care

Epic Dental Center provides personalized dental care to all of our patients. Dr. Vela takes great pride in being thorough in evaluating your oral health, discussing symptoms, and getting detailed imaging scans. The end goal is to create a treatment plan that is completely exclusive to your needs and circumstances.

Our approach does differ from many Houston dental clinics as we take a whole-body approach. That’s why we also provide IV infusion treatments to make you feel better and promote healing after dental procedures.

Comprehensive Treatments

Epic Dental Center offers comprehensive treatments that tackle the root cause of your dental issues before they can escalate. Unfortunately, as dental issues are inherently degenerative, they get worse the longer they’re left unaddressed. Dr. Vela always aims to determine the underlying cause using state-of-the-art imaging to diagnose them accurately.

At Epic Dental Center, our number one goal is to be proactive about your oral care; treating developing issues before they can harm your oral health.

Sedation Dentistry

Epic Dental Center provides comprehensive sedation dentistry for complex dental procedures, like wisdom teeth removal or implant surgeries. Dr. Langridge, our in-house anesthesiologist specializing in regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine, ensures all patients have a relaxing and stress-free dental experience. If you’re worried about discomfort or pain during treatments, don’t—we provide IV sedation and local anesthetics to make sure you’re both physically and emotionally comfortable during your procedure.
